THE RULEBOOK

Everything that happens in We Goon at Noon, and when.

1. WHAT THE GAME IS

Vote on the contestants all day, play cards on them, and watch nothing happen until noon Central. At noon every vote and card lands at once, the ladder moves, you draw new cards, and the Chaos Report tells everyone what went down. Every Wednesday at noon the top 3 take the trophy and keep their spot.

2. VOTING

  • ▸You get 3 votes a day, worth 5, 3 and 1 points in the order you cast them. Up adds to their score, down takes away. Higher score is higher on the ladder. Two contestants on the same score never share a spot: the one with more upvotes this season is higher, then the one with fewer downvotes, then the one who joined the roster first.
  • ▸At 48 season votes you get a 4th vote: 5 / 4 / 3 / 1. That is the most a day here. The new vote unlocks at the noon after you reach the milestone.
  • ▸A Boost played on a contestant makes your own votes on them that day count double at noon, up or down. It never gives you an extra vote.
  • ▸One vote per contestant per day. You cannot vote on a locked contestant or one who is off the ladder.
  • ▸Votes are final. Choose wisely. Once a vote is in, it cannot be changed or taken back.
  • ▸Votes are hidden until noon. The ladder does not move during the day.
  • ▸Votes expire at noon Central. Anything you have not used is gone at noon. Nothing carries over.

3. EARNING CARDS

MILESTONES

Every vote you cast counts toward your season total. Rewards are paid at the next noon:

  • ▸6 season votes: a Booster Pack.
  • ▸12 season votes: a card.
  • ▸24 season votes: a Booster Pack.
  • ▸64 season votes: a Booster Pack.
  • ▸100 season votes: a God Pack.
  • ▸48 season votes: +1 vote a day for the rest of the season.

THE NOON DRAW

Use all of your votes in a day and you draw one card at the next noon. It goes straight into your hand. Cards in your hand never expire during the season, but anything over 7 regular cards is tossed at random at noon (see HAND LIMIT).

STARTING HAND

The first time you open this board in a season you are dealt a starting hand: 1 God Pack. A pack waits sealed on top of your hand: tap it to open it and the cards join your hand (a Booster Pack holds 3 cards). Loose cards go straight into your hand. Random cards use the same odds as the normal draw, and you can get the same card twice. It happens once a season.

4. HAND LIMIT

  • ▸You can hold and play as many cards as you like. Nothing is ever blocked because of how many you hold.
  • ▸The limit is 7 regular cards, and it is checked once a day, at noon. After the day's cards have been played, anyone still holding more than 7 regular cards loses cards at random until they are at 7.
  • ▸Mini Gooners and Golden Gooners are not regular cards: they never count toward the limit and are never tossed.
  • ▸Cards dealt at that same noon (your daily draw, a milestone) arrive after the trim, so a fresh card is never tossed the moment you get it.
  • ▸When you are over the limit, a warning sits above your hand and the counter reads like 8/7. Play your cards before noon to keep them.
  • ▸The Chaos Report says who was over the limit and how many cards they lost.

5. REDEMPTION CODES

  • ▸Got a code that looks like GOON-XXXX-XXXX? Tap Got a code? on the game page and type it in. Each code works once, for whoever redeems it first.
  • ▸One code a day. Some drops are one per person. The day rolls over at noon, like everything else here.
  • ▸A code gives one of: a Booster Pack (3 cards), a single card, a Mini Gooner, or a God Pack. Some codes are random and roll one of those when you redeem them.
  • ▸Whatever you get shows up sealed. Tap it to open. All of its cards join your hand when you open it.
  • ▸A God Pack is one of every playable card plus a Mini Gooner. That is more than a hand keeps: anything over 7 regular cards gets tossed at random at noon, so play them.
  • ▸The Chaos Report says who redeemed a code and what it gave.

6. RARITY

Every card has a rarity. It is the colour of the glow around the card, wherever you see it, and the three rarest tiers pulse slowly.

  • ▸The draw odds are per 100 draws, and every draw uses them: the daily draw, Booster Packs and a random code's card.
  • ▸Mini Gooner is not in the daily draw: you only earn it from vote milestones (or a code).
  • ▸Golden Gooner is admin only: TC and Yummy deal it. It is never drawn.

7. EVERY CARD

Tap a card in your hand, tap the contestant to play it on, and confirm. Most cards wait face down on the contestant until noon; only Golden Gooner fires straight away, and Chaos picks its own contestant. Anything aimed at a contestant who is off the ladder by noon is wasted, and so is anything aimed at a locked contestant except Sakura Farts.

Boost

🚀 BOOST

Play it on a contestant. At noon every vote YOU cast on them that day counts double, whether it is an up vote or a down vote, and whether you voted before or after you played it. It only touches your own votes, never anyone else's. You need a vote on them by noon or it is wasted, and a second Boost on the same contestant does nothing. It does not give you an extra vote. If a Skip also lands on them, Skip wins and there is nothing left to double.

Skip

⏭️ SKIP

Erases every vote on them for the day, up and down, from everyone. They move 0 from votes. Other cards played on them still work. If a Skip and a Reverse both land on them, Skip wins.

Reverse

🔄 REVERSE

Flips every vote on them for the day: up votes become down votes and down votes become up votes. Reverses stack: each one on the same contestant flips their votes again, so an odd number of them is a flip and an even number cancels out and leaves their votes exactly as cast. Only Reverses that got past Sabotage and Shield count. If a Skip also lands on them, Skip wins and there is nothing left to flip.

Shield

🛡️ SHIELD

Blocks one random card another player played on this contestant (Skip, Reverse, Boost or Sakura Farts). Cannot stop Chaos, a Shield, a Sabotage, a Mini Gooner or a Golden Gooner. Only one card, and you never choose which. It does not block votes and it never blocks your own cards. Two Shields on the same contestant each block a different card; a Shield with no card left to block does nothing. A Sabotage on them goes first and destroys the Shield.

Chaos

🎲 CHAOS

Picks a random contestant on the ladder (never a locked one) and moves them 1 to 10 points, up or down. It has no face-down card, so nobody knows where it is headed. Nothing blocks Chaos. Not a Shield, not a Sabotage.

Sakura Farts

💨 SAKURA FARTS

Sakura farts on them. It does nothing to their score, their position, their votes or any other card. Their row just turns green and smelly, with a little stink cloud, for one voting day. Locked contestants can still get stunk up. The Chaos Report says: "[gooner] asked Sakura to fart on [contestant]".

💣 SABOTAGE

Play it on a contestant. At noon it destroys every other card waiting on them, from every player, your own included: Shields, Skips, Reverses, Boosts, Sakura Farts and other Sabotages. Mini Gooner trophies are immune and still land. It does not touch votes. It goes first, and a Shield can never block it.

Golden Gooner

🌟 GOLDEN GOONER

The TC and Yummy power. Golden Gooner holders are dealt one every Wednesday noon if they are not already holding one, so at most one a week. Play it on a contestant and they are pinned at the top of the ladder on the spot, right below any locked contestants, and everyone sees it at once. They stay there, Golden, until the next Wednesday noon: votes, cards, Chaos and idle decay cannot touch them, and a card already waiting on them is wasted. Only a Mini Gooner trophy still lands. That Wednesday they take a Top 3 trophy and the pin comes off. A second Golden Gooner in the same week pins its contestant one spot below the first.

8. THE NOON RESOLVE

At noon Central everything is worked out in this exact order:

  1. 1.Sabotage. It destroys every other card waiting on its contestant, from every player, Shields included. It goes first, so nothing can stop it. Only Mini Gooners are immune.
  2. 2.Shield. Each one still standing picks ONE random card that another player has left on its contestant (Skip, Reverse, Boost or Sakura Farts) and blocks it. Shields never block each other, and nothing blocks Chaos. After Sabotage, so a Shield can never block a Sabotage. Before the rest, so the card it blocks never gets to act.
  3. 3.Skip. Every vote on them for the day is erased, up and down. Before Reverse, so if both land on them, Skip wins and there is nothing left to flip.
  4. 4.Reverse. Every vote on them flips: up votes become down votes, down votes become up votes. Each extra Reverse flips those votes again. After Skip, so there is nothing to flip on a skipped contestant. An odd number of Reverses is a flip, an even number cancels out.
  5. 5.Boost. Every vote its player cast on them that day counts double, up or down. After Skip, so Skip wins: on a skipped contestant there is nothing left to double. Only that player's own votes.
  6. 6.Chaos. A random unlocked contestant moves 1 to 10 points, up or down.Every Chaos lands, in the order they were played. Nothing blocks Chaos: not a Shield, not a Sabotage.
  7. 7.The votes are counted.Whatever is left after Skip and Reverse moves their score, with boosted votes counted double.
  8. 8.Idle decay (silent).Only after all of the day's votes and cards, so a contestant who got even one vote never decays.
  9. 9.Mini Gooner trophies land. Every new multiple of 10 locks them at #1.After all the scoring, so the day they reach 10 still plays out normally for them before they lock.
  10. 10.Sakura Farts land and smelly contestants turn green.Cosmetic only, so it can never change a result.
  11. 11.Wednesday only: the top 3 unlocked contestants take the trophy and stay on the ladder. After everything else, so the winners are the true final standings. A contestant who locked this noon counts as locked.
  12. 12.Cards are dealt: Golden Gooners (Wednesday), milestone Mini Gooners, then the daily draw.Dealt after the scoring, so nothing drawn can act on the noon it was drawn at.
  13. 13.The Chaos Report is written and posted.Last, so it tells the whole story of the noon.

9. LOCKS AND WEDNESDAY

LOCKED AT #1

  • ▸When a contestant's Mini Gooner trophies reach 10 (then 20, 30 and so on) they are locked: pinned to the top of the ladder and frozen there.
  • ▸Several locked contestants stack at the top, the first one locked on top.
  • ▸From the next day on, a locked contestant ignores votes, every card except Sakura Farts (a Mini Gooner too: their trophy count stays where it is), idle decay, and the Wednesday top 3.
  • ▸Only TC and Yummy can unlock them. Their trophies never reset, and they lock again at the next 10.

WEDNESDAY

  • ▸At Wednesday noon the top 3 unlocked contestants win, are announced 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and take the trophy. They stay on the ladder and keep their spot and their points.
  • ▸Nobody leaves the ladder. Scores only reset when the season ends.
  • ▸A contestant who is Golden (a Golden Gooner was played on them) is pinned at the top, right below any locked contestants, with a gold border and a crown. Votes, cards, Chaos and idle decay cannot touch them. Only a Mini Gooner trophy still lands. At the next Wednesday noon they take a Top 3 trophy, the pin comes off and they keep their points. A second Golden contestant in the same week is pinned one spot below the first.
  • ▸Golden Gooners refresh every Wednesday noon: each holder without one is dealt a new one.

10. IDLE DECAY

  • ▸A contestant with no votes for a full week is left alone (7 day grace).
  • ▸After that, a contestant with a positive score loses 1 point after the next silent week, then 2, then 4, then 8, doubling every week. It never takes them below 0.
  • ▸A contestant with a negative score instead gains 1 point per silent week, up to 0.
  • ▸Any single vote, up or down, resets their clock. Locked contestants do not decay.
  • ▸Decay is silent: it never shows in the Chaos Report.

11. THE CHAOS REPORT

  • ▸Every noon the Chaos Report drops: on the CHAOS REPORT ARCHIVE tab and in Discord.
  • ▸Every card PLAYED is public, with the player's name: who played what, on whom, and what happened (landed, blocked by a Shield, destroyed by a Sabotage, wasted). Shield players and saboteurs are named too.
  • ▸Your hand is private. Nobody sees what you hold or what you drew; the report only says how many gooners drew a card.
  • ▸During the day the ladder shows a face-down card on a contestant for each card waiting on them. It never shows which card it is or who played it.
  • ▸The archive keeps every noon of the season: the report, every card face up, the ladder at that noon with how far each contestant moved, and the Wednesday winners.
